Straight answers
Is it the same as wax?
No. Wax sits on top for a few weeks. A ceramic coating chemically bonds to the clear coat and lasts years.
Does it stop scratches?
It resists light swirls from washing. It will not stop a stone chip or a car park scrape — anyone who tells you otherwise is overselling.
How do I wash it afterwards?
Plain water and a pH-neutral shampoo, two buckets. We will show you at handover.
How long does a ceramic coating last?
Depending on the product and how the car is washed, typically a few years rather than a few months. Washing technique matters more than the bottle — automatic brushes shorten the life of any coating.
Is it worth coating a used car?
Often yes, but the paint decides. If there are swirls and light scratches, the correction beforehand is what transforms it — the coating then keeps that finish. We will look at the panels and tell you honestly if it is worth the prep.
Can you coat a brand-new car?
Yes, and it is the easiest case because the paint is already close to perfect. New cars still need decontamination and a light correction — transport and dealer washes leave marks more often than people expect.
